Café Opera was crowded as I’ve never seen before and it was the scene for another runway show promoted by Stockholm Modecenter to disclose the Autumn / Winter 2013 collections of their brands.

And as usual, we from MEliasson.com were there to check everything.
ME and Carolina Sundell

In order to make good pictures, I had to climb on a bench, but it still didn’t help much because I couldn’t look in the camera’s viewfinder to adjust the focus and so on. Here you see a white mark beneath the photo. It is the sponsor board of the event, which was right in front of me

But to rescue the situation I got some photos released to the press at Stockholm Modecenter’s website and picked out some favorite looks, the ones I personally would use, if not the whole look, at least some pieces.
Because I decided to make some comments on the looks, the text became huge. Then I thought it would be better to divide it into parts. This is the first post. You will find the link to the second post at the end of this article.
So, here we go:
Those who follow me know that using basic gowns is not a thing that appeals to me, unless it is strictly necessary. I like outfits that have an extra touch, that stand out in the crowd. This for me is the meaning of “fashion”.
Can you imagine a situation when you want to make a production for a night at the disco, but then you think you can’t because it’s cold outside? You can solve this by using a leather trenchcoat lined with fur inside. Another detail: Bling bling, glitter, sequins will remain strong in the Autumn / Winter 2013. So don’t dispose of the pieces you already have.

Brand – Branting
This dress is also a good option for those who are not fans of bling bling but still want a touch of fashion, like the red color and the embroidery over her chest with just a little sparkle. You can wear it underneath the coat from the previous look.

Brand – Feeling Fame
This next look is quite basic. But why did I choose it then? The addition of the fur around the collar, the glasses and the pumps made all the difference. These are little tricks that we have to be alert to. Adding a piece of fur to the outfit is a trick that I personally use a lot, because it fits well with the weather here. In Brazil (or in any other warm country) you may consider replacing the fur by a scarf for example. Did you notice the blue bag? Yeah! Blue is the autumn 2013 official color according to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s communication area. And color block will continue, you see?!

Brands – Jacket: Alexandra; Blouse and pants: E Steilmann; Purse: Friis&Company
Since we are forced to carry a jacket all the time during autumn / winter, what about choosing an option with color? This orange wool jacket together with the blue clutch (yes, blue again) is a smart choice!

Brands – Jacket: Elisa, Fend Fashion; Clutch: Fancy Fanny
Chic and fashionable at the same time, this look is not exaggerated and it’s easy to compose. Animal print continues strong, and blue (again
)

Brands – Blouse and Skirt: Mexx Metropolitan; Beanie hat: Jofama
